On Saturday, January 26 from 11 am to noon, local children's author Pam Stone will be on hand to share her recent work with young children and their parents. Pam Stone is the author of two book: Oscar's Adventures in the Woods and The Watermelon Party. She will be available after her presentation to sign books as well.

The "Have Dessert, Will Travel" Bakeoff Fundraiser for the Tri-City Public Library will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Mechanicsburg Fire Station, 402 Main Street. Here are the contest rules and basic information. The Library uses Bake-Off funds to support its programming, including the summer reading program for school age children. The theme of the 2013 reading program is "Have Book, Will Travel".

Beginning in April 2013, the Tri-City Public Library will be joining a new automated library system with 427 other libraries throughout southern and central Illinois. This will replace the current system that the library has shared with the old Rolling Prairie Library System.
