BUFFALO, ILLINOIS - The Tri-City Public Library will be hosting an immunization clinic for COVID-19 vaccines on Monday, September 27 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Staff from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Sangamon County Public Health Department will be administering vaccinations. Both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available for individuals aged 12 years and older. Those receiving shots should plan on waiting approximately 20 minutes after receiving the shot to make sure that there are not adverse effects. Those receiving the Pfizer shot will also be provided with information on when to return to the Library to receive their second shot (October 18, 2021). The shots are provided at no cost to individuals. People should bring proof of insurance which will cover the cost. If individuals do not have insurance, the State of Illinois will pick up the cost of vaccinations.
