Library open for a limited time on December 7th 2020
Acceptance of nominating petitions for library board of trustees
Head Librarian Chet Brandt will be at the Library from 10 am to 1 pm on Monday, December 14. This is the first day under state law that allows those interested in running for the Library Board of Trustees to file petitions for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election.
While petitions can be received until December 21, the order in which petitions are received determine the order that nominees will appear on the April 6 ballot.
The Head Librarian is the appointed election officer for the Library District and is also a notary public that can notarize submitted documents.
Candidates need to file their Statement of Candidacy, their nominating petitions, certification of deletions (only if signatures are struck), their statement of economic interest form and their loyalty oath (optional).
After December 14, petitions may be submitted during normal library business hours. The Head Librarian will also be available from 10 am to 1 pm on December 21 to receive petitions.
