Adults coming to our library can find current authors and bestselling titles as well as many old favorites and classics from the past.

Also available are public access internet computers where one can look up information, fill out a job application, check email, or etc. And if you have your own computer or device, Wi-Fi is available.

However, we have much more to offer, as part of the community we have groups for all walks of life to engage in socialization, so whether you enjoy fishing, needle work or have small children we have a group of like minded people getting together to enjoy their hobbies to match yours.

Read Beyond the Beaten Path: The Tri-City Summer Reading Program

The Tri-City Public Library will be offering a series of programs, activities and prizes for this year’s summer reading program. Beginning on Wednesday, June 8 and running until Saturday, July 30, the library will be offering a wide range of activities on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer.

This year’s theme is “Read Beyond the Beaten Path.” The focus will be on summer camping, outside activities, food, animals, music and crafts. The June 8 kickoff will feature the Richard Landry and Snow Ball Magic Show. After that each Wednesday there will be a variety of activities, from camping demonstrations, fire safety demonstrations, campfire songs with Marty Morris and we will welcome the first day of summer with free Kona Ice treats provided by the Library.

Get Your Passport!

Passport Event with Sangamon County Circuit Clerk

On Saturday, January 22, the Tri-City Public Library will be hosting a “Passport Event” with the Sangamon County Circuit Clerk’s office from 9 am to 12 noon.

You can apply for a passport and have your photo taken as well. This is a great opportunity to apply for a new passport or renew an expiring passport. There has been a price increase effective January 1, so you may want to call the Circuit Clerk’s Passport Office at 217-747-5183 or visit their website at www.sangamonpassports.org.

Tri-City Library will be hosting an COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Monday, September 27th

BUFFALO, ILLINOIS - The Tri-City Public Library will be hosting an immunization clinic for COVID-19 vaccines on Monday, September 27 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Staff from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Sangamon County Public Health Department will be administering vaccinations. Both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available for individuals aged 12 years and older. Those receiving shots should plan on waiting approximately 20 minutes after receiving the shot to make sure that there are not adverse effects. Those receiving the Pfizer shot will also be provided with information on when to return to the Library to receive their second shot (October 18, 2021). The shots are provided at no cost to individuals. People should bring proof of insurance which will cover the cost. If individuals do not have insurance, the State of Illinois will pick up the cost of vaccinations.
